Treasury Specialist Job Description
Job Summary:
At TempWorks, the Treasury Specialist manages the banking for TempWorks Software Inc., TempWorks Management Services, and ARA. The Treasury Specialist is responsible for initiating, reviewing, and approving all banking, funding, and payment requests while utilizing exceptional attention to detail and organization skills.
General Responsibilities:
- Apply payments for TempWorks Software Inc., TempWorks Management Services, and ARA including payment moves and write-offs
- Initiate, review, and approve all banking requests including wires, debits, positive pay files, and ACH files
- Stage and review all funding requests (including funding, ad hoc, and debit requests)
- Balance and set up ACH files and set up ACH debits for outstanding invoices
- Ensure accuracy between the authority amounts processed and the amounts collected
- Deposit checks into the appropriate account
- Make the appropriate bank transfers
- Post the invoices collected from clients each week
- Coordinate with other Treasury Specialists to ensure timely completion of tasks
- Collaborate with the Staff Accountants and Payroll Team to research discrepancies
- Monitor status of weekly tasks and follow up with the appropriate parties
- Verify that the wire total matches the amounts from the reports and set up the wire draw in Wells Fargo
- Ensure internal and banking deadlines are met
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Exceptional follow-up, attention to detail and organization skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software
- Advanced understanding of banking procedures
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Education and Experience:
- Associates degree required; Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred
- 2+ years of experience in a Treasury or similar role
- Experience in funding or payroll preferred
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at desk and working on a computer
- Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds at times
The pay range for this role is: $48,000 - $68,000
