Sales Manager Job Description
Job Summary:
At Lone Oak Payroll, the Sales Manager is a key player in driving sales growth through all forms of outbound and inbound sales techniques; including lead follow-up, customer prospecting, cold calling, emailing, and various business development activities. This position requires a balance of experience and sales ability.
General Responsibilities:
• Execute on sales strategy through outbound cold calling, emailing, social platform and other forms of prospecting.
• Achieve targets set by the Director of Sales and Executive Leadership team.
• Collaborate with Senior Sales Managers and the Director of Sales to manage a sales territory effectively.
• Manage sales process, including prospecting, client meetings, and negotiations.
• Analyze industry trends, competitor activities, and market demands to optimize sales strategies.
• Actively seek coaching and feedback from the sales team for continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with the TempWorks Software Sales team to enhance overall sales efficiency.
• Participate in networking and industry events to represent and grow our brand.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills and Abilities:
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Desire to learn, grow, and develop leadership and sales skills.
• Understanding of sales procedures, CRM software, and financial acumen.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Education and Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred; significant sales experience considered.
• 2+ years of progressive experience in outbound business-to-business sales, focusing on prospecting and client engagement.
• Previous experience managing an outbound sales territory highly desirable.
• Familiarity with CRM software and its implementation in sales processes.
• Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
• SaaS and/or software sales preferred.
• Staffing industry experience or knowledge preferred.
• Finance and/or payroll industry experience preferred.
• Social selling – Business development through various online mediums preferred.
Physical Requirements:
• Prolonged periods sitting at desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds at times.
The pay range for this role is: $60,000 - $87,000 + commission
