Compliance Specialist Job Description
Job Summary:
At TempWorks, the Compliance Specialist is responsible for reviewing customer contracts and translating them for internal teams, reporting on customer and partner contracts, assisting with internal and third-party audit information collection, and managing relationships with registered agent vendor(s). The Compliance Specialist will work directly with the Legal, HR, Operations, Finance, and Revenue teams.
General Responsibilities:
• Manage relationship and all requests with third party registered agent provider, ensuring compliance across 50 states
• Maintain company registration logins for states as required
• Assist with information gathering for third-party audits, including 401(k), Caf 125, Worker’s Compensation, Microsoft Hosting Compliance, and SOC 2
• Review new business customer contracts and translate into billing system
• Monitor contract live dates & offboarding to ensure accurate customer billing
• Classify billing dispute requests based on contract interpretation
• Assist in the continued development and maintenance of Standard Operational Procedures to align with regulatory and internal requirements as identified by leadership
• Review internal team compliance with policies as needed
• Maintain ticket queues, ensuring timely responses to user inquiries and accurate ticket documentation
• Develop positive relationships with cross-functional teams through efficient work and suggestions to enhance compliance management
• Communicate cross-departmentally regarding changes in contracts – pricing, revenue streams, market shifts, etc.
• Track, report, and interpret metrics (including product/service utilization and important contract components)
• Periodic audits of contractual terms against actual billing for customer contracts, as well as strategic partnership revenue payments against applicable partner contracts
• Work with Account Management to highlight key upselling opportunities
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Education and Experience:
• Bachelor's degree in Business Management or related field required
• Proven experience (typically 3+ years) with SAAS (software as a service) contracts
• Knowledge in corporate governance highly preferred
• Demonstrated success in contract compliance
Physical Requirements:
• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
• Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds at times
The pay range for this role is: $71,000 - $105,000
