Account Manager Job Description
Job Summary:
As a TempWorks Account Manager, you play a critical role in the day-to-day and overall operations for some of the most dynamic companies in the staffing industry. Focused on constructing and nurturing relationships, client retention, and recognizing revenue opportunities, this position interacts directly with key stakeholders across an established portfolio of customers.
With a 99% customer retention rate, Account Managers work collectively with internal partners to ensure clients receive a world class customer service experience while driving positive business results through the utilization of our software and additional business services. The Account Management team is a vital component of rolling out and executing internal initiatives and strategies. Continual product education is used to demo or pitch new software features, modules, integrations, and/or business services (payroll and tax processing, payroll funding).
General Responsibilities:
- Manage, support, and sell to an existing portfolio of TempWork’s clients
- Build and maintain relationships at all levels of your customer base (C-suite, VP, Director, etc.).
- Learn staffing best practices to assist your customers in recognizing potential process gaps or inefficiencies and present appropriate solution(s).
- Proactively identify opportunities to add lines of business, product add-ons or enhancements
- Regularly communicate with internal partners across sales, implementation, support, development, legal and leadership
- Prepare, construct and negotiate contracts
- Promptly follow up with customers when there are questions surrounding software functionality
- Bubble up accounts that may be “at risk” and work with the Director of Client Services to formulate and execute a plan of action
- Manage the client communication surrounding company-wide initiatives such as yearend W2 processing, deprecation of products/features, and any new Federal regulations that affect the software and client base
- Work closely with Support counterpart(s) to prioritize, open, and follow up on Support tickets brought forward by client
- Travel to client sites when necessary
- Participate in daily Account Management meetings and collaborate on trends, themes, or any outstanding items for the team
- Collaborate with other Account Managers to solve/answer complex business issues
- Use proper channels to monitor and submit product enhancement requests
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software
- Excellent organization skills and attention to detail
- Advanced understanding of Account Management procedures and systems such as Customer Relationship Management (CRM) Software
- Ability to work independently
Education and Experience:
- Associates degree required; Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred
- 2+ years of experience in an Account Management or similar role, preferably in a software/technology company
- Ability to use CRM software
- Ability to effectively interact with various levels of management and staff both externally with clients and also within the TempWorks organization
- Temporary Staffing or Recruiting industry and sales experience preferred
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds at times
- Ability to travel onsite to visit clients up to 30% of the time
- Valid driver’s license preferred
The pay range for this role is: $71,000 - $105,000
